Hitchcock: The Birds 1963 Classic Tee
The Birds has no conventional score. The screeching and flapping were made electronically, on an early instrument called the Mixtur-Trautonium, played by Oskar Sala, with Remi Gassmann. Bernard Herrmann is credited as sound consultant. Hitchcock reportedly went to Berlin to hear Sala's setup. The result is a horror film where the music is also the birds.
