Brahms: Wordmark Classic Tee
When Breslau University gave Brahms an honorary doctorate, he answered with a note of thanks, until a friend pointed out that something grander was expected. He wrote the Academic Festival Overture, a medley of student drinking songs that ends on Gaudeamus igitur, first played in January 1881. It is among the most cheerful things he wrote, and he wrote it for a committee.
