Dmitri Shostakovich: Letraset Classic Tee
Letraset, founded in London in 1959, sold rub-down lettering from 1961: press a letter onto the sheet and it lifts onto the page. Designers used it for posters, punks for record sleeves. Shostakovich has enough letters to use up a whole sheet, and in 1936 Pravda gave him a famously bad review. It called the opera muddle instead of music.
