Ethel Smyth: March of the Women Classic Tee
Ethel Smyth wrote The March of the Women in 1910, with words by Cicely Hamilton, and it became the anthem of the suffragettes. In 1912 she was jailed at Holloway for breaking a cabinet minister's window. Thomas Beecham visited and found her conducting her fellow prisoners from a window, with a toothbrush.
