Fanny Mendelssohn: Illustrated Classic Tee
Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel wrote hundreds of works, though her father told her in 1820 that music could only be an ornament for her. Six of her songs were published under her brother Felix's name, and when Queen Victoria asked to sing his "Italien" in 1842, Felix had to confess it was Fanny's. The portrait on the shirt is loosely based on sketches by her husband, Wilhelm Hensel.
