Mozart: Flötenquartette Classic Tee
Mozart began the flute quartets in Mannheim in 1777 for Ferdinand De Jean, a wealthy amateur flutist, who was reportedly willing to pay only half the agreed fee. Mozart's letters make his feelings about De Jean clear, and possibly about the flute. Four quartets survive. The word is hard to say and easy to enjoy.
