Sibelius: Finlandia Classic Tee
Sibelius wrote the music that became Finlandia in 1899 for a press celebration that doubled as a protest against Russian censorship. It closed a set of tableaux from Finnish history and was called Finland Awakes. Within the Russian empire it was sometimes performed under other names, including "Impromptu." The censors didn't notice much.
