garment care
every shirt is printed directly onto the cotton. treat it like a favorite record: a little care and it'll outlast the trend.
when to wash
there's no single right answer. wash when it needs it, not after every wear. fewer, colder washes keep the print sharp and the cotton soft.
how to wash
machine wash
- turn the garment inside out.
- wash cold on a gentle cycle, with similar colors.
- use a mild detergent. no bleach, no fabric softener on the print.
- tumble dry low, or hang to dry.
- if you iron, iron inside out and never directly on the print.
hand wash
- fill a tub or sink with cool water and a little mild detergent.
- turn the garment inside out and gently work the water through it.
- let it soak for 10–15 minutes.
- rinse in cool water and press out the water. don't wring the print.
- lay flat or hang to dry.
general care
spot cleaning
blot, don't rub. cool water and a drop of mild soap on the spot, then let it air dry.
shrinkage
heat shrinks cotton. cold water and low or no heat keep the fit where it is. our garment-dyed pieces have already been washed in the dye process, so they shrink less than most.
the print
the design is printed directly into the cotton. inside out, cold, and no direct iron is all they ask for.
color
garment-dyed colors (the vintage heavyweight tee) are meant to soften and fade a little over time, and each piece varies slightly. wash them with similar colors for the first few washes.
by garment
classic tee
wash cold, dry low to keep the fit.
vintage heavyweight tee
no warmer than 30°c (86°f), inside out, tumble dry low.
classic crewneck
wash cold, inside out, dry low to keep the fleece from pilling.
canvas tote
spot clean with cold water and mild soap. if it needs a full wash, go cold and gentle, then air dry flat. canvas can shrink and soften in the dryer.
