stereo: spectacular classic tee
Stereo
Enoch Light started Command Records in 1959 with Persuasive Percussion, recorded in "ping-pong stereo," with sound bouncing hard between the left and right speakers. It sold on retail alone, since AM radio couldn't play it in stereo. The gatefold sleeve was a first. Stereo was a spectacle, and he knew it.
