Audiotape

Audiotape was the brand of Audio Devices, an American maker of reel-to-reel tape that turned up in studios through the 1950s and 60s. Formula 10 was the all-purpose standard, sold on acetate and later Mylar, on a reel with a slot to make threading easier. Capitol Records bought the company in 1972. Threading tape was still nobody's favorite part.

how to measure

first things first: grab a shirt you already love the fit of, a measuring tape, and a flat surface. lay the shirt flat, smooth it out, and compare its measurements to the chart.

length: from the highest point of the shoulder, where it meets the collar, straight down to the hem.
chest: straight across the shirt, 1" below the armholes, from side seam to side seam. it's measured flat, so double it to compare with your own chest.
sleeve: from the center back of the neck, over the shoulder point, to the end of the sleeve (to the end of the cuff on sweatshirts).

All measurements are of the garment laid flat, from our spec sheet. Allow a little tolerance either way.
