Frédéric Chopin1810 – 1849

Chopin died in Paris in 1849, but he asked for his heart to go home. His sister Ludwika carried it to Warsaw in a sealed jar of alcohol, most likely cognac, and it rests in a pillar of the Holy Cross Church. Everything else stayed in Paris.
