Franz Schubert1797 – 1828

Schubert wrote several hundred short dances for piano: waltzes, Ländler, écossaises, German dances. Plenty of them were for evenings among friends, the gatherings that came to be called Schubertiades, where there was music, poetry and dancing, often with Schubert at the keyboard. This one takes the party outside: a bandstand, a crescent moon and ball gowns turning on the lawn.

Printed on our vintage heavyweight tee: garment-dyed, 100% ring-spun cotton, soft from the first wear.

Chest: lay the shirt flat and measure straight across, 1" below the armholes.
Length: from the highest point of the shoulder straight down to the hem.
Sleeve: from center back neck, over shoulder point, to sleeve hem.

how to measure

first things first: grab a shirt you already love the fit of, a measuring tape, and a flat surface. lay the shirt flat, smooth it out, and compare its measurements to the chart.

length: from the highest point of the shoulder, where it meets the collar, straight down to the hem.
chest: straight across the shirt, 1" below the armholes, from side seam to side seam. it's measured flat, so double it to compare with your own chest.
sleeve: from the center back of the neck, over the shoulder point, to the end of the sleeve (to the end of the cuff on sweatshirts).

All measurements are of the garment laid flat, from our spec sheet. Allow a little tolerance either way.
